Currency Strength Today, 28 October 2026: CAD Strongest, EUR Weakest. Which Live Tickets Line Up?
This currency strength today read comes with something you can use while it still matters: live tickets.
The Canadian dollar is the strongest currency on our board. The euro is the weakest. And this morning, at 09:00, the Direction Sniper panel printed three fresh tickets on exactly the pairs that ranking points to: a buy on CADCHF, a sell on GBPCAD and a sell on EURCAD. All three are still running.
That is the whole idea behind reading currency strength. Find the strongest and weakest currencies today, pair them up, and let the panel tell you which way, where to enter and where the stop belongs.
Below is the ranking, every live ticket with its levels, the pair we are watching most closely, and what gold says about the US dollar.
1. Strongest And Weakest Currencies Today
Here is how the eight major currencies line up today.
| Group | Currencies |
|---|---|
| Strongest | CAD, then AUD, then GBP |
| Middle | USD and NZD |
| Weakest | EUR, with JPY and CHF level with each other |
Pairing a strong currency against a weak one gives us nine pairs worth watching out of 28:
EURCAD, EURAUD, EURGBP, CADJPY, CADCHF, AUDJPY, AUDCHF, GBPJPY and GBPCHF.
The other 19 pairs set currencies of similar strength against each other. That is where choppy, directionless price tends to live.
A strength ranking tells you where to look. It does not tell you when to enter or where your stop belongs. That is the job of the Direction Sniper panel, which is why we read the two together.
2. The Live Tickets Today
Every ticket below was still running at the time of writing. Each one arrived with its entry, stop and three targets marked.
| Pair | Chart | Direction | Entry | Stop | Targets | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CADCHF | H1 | BUY | 0.59094 (28 Oct 09:00) | 0.58964 | 0.59224, 0.59355, 0.59485 | Running, price at entry |
| GBPCAD | H1 | SELL | 1.86710 (28 Oct 09:00) | 1.87110 | 1.86310, 1.85910, 1.85509 | Running |
| EURCAD | M30 | SELL | 1.56285 (28 Oct 09:00) | 1.56453 | 1.56109, 1.55933, 1.55757 | Running |
| EURUSD | H4 | SELL | 1.12053 (22 Oct 16:00) | 1.11964 trailing | 1.11679, 1.11305, 1.10931 | Targets 1 and 2 reached |
Notice the pattern. Every live ticket is a buy on the Canadian dollar or a sell on the euro, the two ends of today’s ranking. Not one of them fights the strength board.
3. Pick Of The Day: CADCHF

If you came here looking for the best forex pair to trade today, this is how we narrow it down. Our pick puts the strongest currency against one of the weakest: CADCHF.
On the 1 hour chart, CADCHF climbed from around 0.5848 on 22 October to around 0.5910 by 27 October. It pulled back to around 0.5893 on the evening of 27 October, and this morning it turned up again.
What makes CADCHF stand out today is that every timeframe on the panel agrees.
| Chart | Reads |
|---|---|
| M15 | UP |
| M30 | UP |
| H1 | UP |
| H4 | UP |
| Daily | UP |
The status line reads Buy on M15, M30, H1, H4.
The fresh 1 hour buy ticket printed this morning at 09:00 at 0.59094, and CADCHF is at 0.59092, so price is sitting right at the entry.
- Stop: 0.58964, 13 pips below the entry
- Target 1: 0.59224
- Target 2: 0.59355
- Target 3: 0.59485
The targets sit at one, two and three times the risk, so the plan is known before the order is placed.
Fresh ticket, every timeframe up, the strongest currency against one of the weakest. That is why CADCHF is the pair we are watching most closely today. It is still not a trade recommendation. What you do with it is your decision, and section 7 shows how to check the numbers first.
4. GBPCAD: Canadian Strength Against The Pound

The pound is third strongest today, but the Canadian dollar is stronger still. Strength is always relative, and GBPCAD shows it.
On the 1 hour chart, GBPCAD has made lower highs all week, from around 1.8840 on 21 October down to 1.86545 now. The panel printed a sell arrow on each rally, and every timeframe reads DOWN. The status line reads Sell on M15, M30, H1, H4.
The fresh sell ticket printed at 09:00 this morning at 1.86710, and GBPCAD has already moved 16.5 pips in its favour.
- Stop: 1.87110, 40 pips above the entry
- Target 1: 1.86310
- Target 2: 1.85910
- Target 3: 1.85509
Every timeframe pointing down, and the stronger currency on the right side of the trade. That is what a clean strength pair looks like on the panel.
5. EURCAD: Strongest Against Weakest

EURCAD is the purest expression of today’s board: the strongest currency against the weakest.
On the 30 minute chart, EURCAD fell from around 1.5718 on 26 October to near 1.5610 on 27 October. Since then, price has bounced and drifted sideways between roughly 1.5625 and 1.5650.
That bounce is where many traders start to doubt the trend. The panel did not. The 4 hour and the daily still read DOWN, and this morning at 09:00 a fresh 30 minute sell ticket printed at 1.56285.
- Price now: 1.56316, 3.1 pips above the entry
- Stop: 1.56453
- Targets: 1.56109, 1.55933, 1.55757
The 15 minute chart reads UP, a small bounce inside the move. The status line reads Sell on M30, H1, H4. This is the ticket to watch for whether the sideways drift turns back down, the way the bigger charts say it should.
6. EURUSD: The Weakest Currency On The Biggest Pair

The euro’s weakness shows on EURUSD too.
On the 4 hour chart, EURUSD spent mid October stuck between roughly 1.1200 and 1.1260. The sell ticket printed on 22 October at 16:00 at 1.12053, near the top of that range, and EURUSD has slid to 1.11228 since.
Target 1 at 1.11679 and Target 2 at 1.11305 have been reached. Target 3 at 1.10931 is still open. The trailing stop sits at 1.11964, 8.9 pips in front of the entry. Direction Sniper calculates and displays that level as the trade develops, and the trader moves their own stop to it. Done that way, a ticket that is working can no longer close at a loss.
The 15 minute and 30 minute charts read UP today, a short bounce. But the 4 hour and the daily both still read DOWN, and the direction comes from the bigger charts. The status line reads Sell on H1, H4.

7. Gold Check: What Gold Says About The US Dollar

The US dollar sits in the middle of the board today, neither strong nor weak. So we check gold to see whether it agrees.
On the 4 hour chart, gold dropped from around 4,190 on 19 October to around 3,990 by 23 October, then lifted back to around 4,044.
| Chart | Reads |
|---|---|
| M15 | UP |
| M30 | UP |
| H1 | DOWN |
| H4 | UP |
| Daily | DOWN |
The verdict is NO TRADE, and the status reads Stand aside.
Gold agrees with the strength board. The bigger charts are split, so there is no clear read on the dollar today, and no gold ticket to show you. The lift off the lows could be the start of something, or it could be a bounce inside a falling daily trend. The panel stands aside until the 4 hour and the daily agree.
Standing aside is a decision too, and on days like this it is the one that protects your account.
8. Before You Act: Check The Numbers, Then The Size
A live ticket is only useful if the numbers still make sense from where price is now. Check three things before anything else.
1. Where is price against the entry? The CADCHF ticket is at its entry. From 0.59092, the stop is 12.8 pips away and Target 1 is 13.2 pips away, close to the plan as printed.
2. How much room is left? The GBPCAD ticket has already moved 16.5 pips. From 1.86545, Target 1 is 23.5 pips away while the stop is 56.5 pips away. The ticket is working, but anyone arriving now has less room and more distance to the stop.
3. Is it an old ticket? The EURUSD ticket printed on 22 October. From 1.11228, Target 3 is only 29.7 pips away, while the trailing stop is 73.6 pips above. That is a ticket to manage, not one to start. When the numbers no longer make sense, the right move is to wait for the next ticket, not to chase this one.
Then comes the size. Every ticket gets the same risk. We risk at most 2 percent per trade, usually 0.5 percent, and that does not change because a pair looks strong.
CADCHF is quoted in Swiss francs, so one pip on a standard lot is 10 francs, roughly $12 with USDCHF near 0.83. Check the exact figure on your platform. On the CADCHF ticket, with its 13 pip stop, $50 of risk is about 0.32 lots.
On a small account, a cent account makes sizes like that possible. For small balances we recommend a RoboForex Cent account or an XM Micro account. These are partner links, so we may receive a commission at no cost to you.
If you are worrying about every trade, your lot size is still too big.
Where To Look, Which Way, How Much
Put today’s board together.
The strength ranking points at the Canadian dollar as the strongest currency and the euro as the weakest. This morning the panel printed fresh tickets on CADCHF, GBPCAD and EURCAD, every one of them on the side of that ranking. EURUSD has already reached two targets and is still running.
That is Direction Sniper:
- Direction. One verdict from the 4 hour and the daily. Every live ticket today points the same way as the strength board.
- Bounces that are not reversals. EURCAD bounced and drifted sideways after its fall. The bigger charts never turned, and a fresh sell ticket printed this morning.
- The stop loss. Every ticket arrives with its stop and three targets marked, so you can check the numbers before you act, and the trailing stop level shows you when a ticket can no longer close at a loss.
The 28 Pair Edition puts this panel on every pair in today’s ranking, MT4 or MT5, on one licence, so you see these tickets the moment they print.

Currency Strength Today: Frequently Asked Questions
Updated 28 October 2026. Levels are as shown on the Direction Sniper panel at the time of writing.
1What is the currency strength today, 28 October 2026?+
The Canadian dollar is the strongest currency on our board today, followed by the Australian dollar and the British pound. The euro is the weakest, with the Japanese yen and the Swiss franc level with each other on the weak side.
The US dollar and the New Zealand dollar sit in the middle. This is a snapshot, not a forecast. Currency strength changes as the charts change.

Three fresh tickets printed at 09:00 chart time: a 1 hour BUY on CADCHF at 0.59094, a 1 hour SELL on GBPCAD at 1.86710 and a 30 minute SELL on EURCAD at 1.56285.
The 4 hour EURUSD SELL from 22 October is also still running. Every live ticket is a buy on the Canadian dollar or a sell on the euro.
3What is the best forex pair to watch today?+
CADCHF, because it puts the strongest currency against one of the weakest, and every timeframe from M15 to the daily reads UP. The fresh 1 hour BUY ticket printed at 0.59094 with a stop at 0.58964 and targets at 0.59224, 0.59355 and 0.59485.
This is the pair we are watching most closely, not a trade recommendation.
4Where does the GBPCAD sell stand today?+
The fresh 1 hour SELL ticket printed at 1.86710 with a stop at 1.87110 and targets at 1.86310, 1.85910 and 1.85509.
GBPCAD was at 1.86545 at the time of writing, 16.5 pips in its favour, with every timeframe reading DOWN.
5Where does the EURUSD sell ticket stand?+
The 4 hour SELL ticket from 22 October at 1.12053 has reached Target 1 at 1.11679 and Target 2 at 1.11305. Target 3 at 1.10931 is still open.
The trailing stop level sits at 1.11964, 8.9 pips in front of the entry, and the 4 hour and the daily both still read DOWN. Price reaching a published target level is not the same as a realised result.
6What does gold say about the US dollar today?+
The US dollar sits in the middle of the strength board, and gold agrees there is no clear read. On XAUUSD the Direction Sniper panel shows the 4 hour UP and the daily DOWN, so the verdict is NO TRADE and the panel stands aside.
Gold dropped to around 3,990 on 23 October and lifted to around 4,044, but the daily chart has not turned.
7How do you check a live ticket before acting on it?+
Check where price is against the entry, how much room is left to the next target compared with the distance to the stop, and how old the ticket is. The CADCHF ticket is at its entry, while the EURUSD ticket from 22 October has only 29.7 pips to Target 3 and 73.6 pips to its trailing stop, so it is a ticket to manage, not one to start.
Every ticket gets the same risk. We risk at most 2 percent per trade, usually 0.5 percent.
8Does Direction Sniper move my stop loss for me?+
No. Direction Sniper calculates the trailing stop level and shows it on your chart as the trade develops.
You move the stop on your own order to match it.

Disclaimer: This post reports what the Direction Sniper panel showed on CADCHF, GBPCAD, EURCAD, EURUSD and XAUUSD on 28 October 2026. The tickets were running at the time of writing, and prices will have moved by the time you read this. It is educational analysis, not financial advice and not a trade signal service, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell. Price reaching a published target level is not the same as a realised result. A target shown as reached means price touched that level on the chart, and does not describe anyone’s trade. High and low levels are approximate readings from the chart. Pip values and lot sizes are arithmetic for illustration, depend on the exchange rate, and are not a recommendation about how much anyone should trade. Forex trading carries risk, and you should only trade money you can afford to lose.
