Bitcoin and Ethereum Price Forecast Today, 18 October 2026: The Bounce Is Back. Where Will The Next Sell Ticket Come From?

This Bitcoin and Ethereum price forecast today starts with a result, because yesterday we made a call in public and today you can check it.
Yesterday Bitcoin had rallied to almost 82,900 and every fast chart said buy. We asked whether it was a bounce or a reversal. The Direction Sniper panel said bounce.
Bitcoin followed through. Three targets reached. Ethereum followed Bitcoin lower, its protected 30 minute ticket closed in front of its entry, and a fresh 1 hour ticket reached its first target.
This morning the same test is back. Both coins have bounced again, the fast charts have turned UP again, and the 4 hour and the daily still read DOWN on both. So today’s question is not whether to buy. It is where the next sell ticket would come from, and which chart to watch first.
1. Yesterday’s Call: The Panel Said Bounce, And Both Coins Followed Through

Bitcoin. On 16 October the 1 hour and the 30 minute both printed sells at 81974.44, while the 4 hour and the daily held DOWN.
- 1 hour Target 1 at 81442.34: reached
- 1 hour Target 2 at 80910.25: reached
- 30 minute Target 1 at 81200.82: reached
- The 30 minute ticket closed at its trailing stop in front of its entry, at least 167.43 ahead of 81974.44
- Bitcoin went on to dip to around 80,820, more than 1,100 below the 81974.44 sells
Ethereum. Yesterday we said Ethereum was lined up right behind Bitcoin, with its 30 minute stop already in front of its entry.
- The 30 minute ticket from 2439.13 closed at its trailing stop in front of its entry, at least 11.92 ahead
- A fresh 1 hour sell printed at 17 October 19:00 at 2410.56 and reached Target 1 at 2379.90
- Ethereum dipped to around 2,357, more than 80 below yesterday’s 30 minute entry
Three Bitcoin targets and one Ethereum target reached, from a verdict that refused to flip while every fast chart said buy.
That is the whole job of Direction Sniper in one day. The fast charts shouted reversal. The bigger picture said bounce. The panel listened to the bigger picture.
2. The Same Test, One Day Later

Overnight Bitcoin ran from around 80,820 to above 82,050, and Ethereum from around 2,357 to about 2,430. Once again the fast charts turned UP.
| Bitcoin | Ethereum | |
|---|---|---|
| 15 minute | UP | UP |
| 30 minute | UP | UP |
| 1 hour | UP | DOWN |
| 4 hour and daily | DOWN | DOWN |
| Verdict | SELL | SELL |
| Status | Sell on H4 | Sell on H1, H4 |
A trader watching only a fast chart sees another reversal and reaches for the buy button again. The panel sees exactly what it saw yesterday: fast charts pointing UP against a SELL verdict, so no buy ticket, and the bigger picture unchanged on both coins.
A bounce turns the fast charts. A reversal turns the big ones. Two days running, only the fast charts have turned.
3. Ethereum’s 1 Hour Never Turned
Look at that table again. Both coins rallied overnight. Bitcoin’s rally was strong enough to turn all three of its fast charts. Ethereum’s only turned the two fastest. Its 1 hour stayed DOWN, lined up with the verdict the whole time.
When one coin cannot turn its 1 hour chart in the same rally that turns all of Bitcoin’s, the panel is showing you which of the two is holding the bigger picture more firmly right now.
You do not see that by staring at one chart. You see it by reading five timeframes on two coins side by side, which is exactly what the panel lays out for you.
4. Both 4 Hour Tickets: Most Of The Risk Already Gone

Both 4 hour sells printed on the same candle, 13 October at 04:00, and both are still running.
| Bitcoin 4 hour | Ethereum 4 hour | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | 81442.56 | 2421.85 |
| Original stop | 84305.12 | 2571.34 |
| Original risk | 2862.56 | 149.49 |
| Trailing level now | 82187.35 | 2462.04 |
| Risk removed | 2117.77, 74 percent | 109.30, 73 percent |
| Target 1 | 78580.00 | 2272.36 |
Both trailing levels tightened again overnight: Bitcoin’s by 559.66 from 82747.01, Ethereum’s by 29.29 from 2491.33. Bitcoin sits at about 81,795, close to its entry. Ethereum sits at about 2,412, below its entry.
This is what the panel does while you wait. Neither trade has had to go anywhere for most of its risk to disappear. The structure behind each one tightened, and the level followed.
5. The Full Board, Including The Ticket That Closed This Morning

We publish every ticket. Ethereum’s fresh 1 hour sell from 2410.56 had 30.66 of risk, from an original stop of 2441.22. It reached Target 1 at 2379.90 first. Then, in this morning’s bounce, price reached its trailing level at 2429.44 and the ticket closed there, 18.88 behind its entry. The trail had already taken 11.78 off the original risk before it was reached.
Every other ticket on both coins is either the 4 hour, still running, or a fast chart waiting for alignment.
6. Where Will The Next Sell Ticket Come From?

While the 4 hour and the daily hold DOWN, a new sell ticket needs a fast chart to turn back DOWN and line up with the verdict again. Each fast chart turns when price closes back below its blue trailing line.
So the question is simple: which blue line is closest to price?
Bitcoin
- The 15 minute. Its blue line sits around 81,710, only about 85 below price. The closest, so the first chart that could line back up.
- The 30 minute. Around 81,400, about 395 below price.
- The 1 hour. Around 81,150, about 645 below price.
Ethereum
- The 15 minute. Its blue line sits around 2,411, right at price. The closest of all.
- The 30 minute. Around 2,398, about 14 below price.
- The 1 hour is already DOWN and lined up.
The other side, just as clearly: Bitcoin’s 4 hour trailing level at 82187.35 sits about 390 above price, and Ethereum’s at 2462.04 sits about 50 above. If price reaches either first, that 4 hour ticket closes there instead.
Nobody knows which level price reaches first. What the panel gives you is the map: the level that would bring a new ticket, and the level that would end the current one. Both on one screen, in one glance.
7. The Lesson: The Fastest Chart Lines Up First

When the big picture holds and the fast charts drift against it, they come back in order. The 15 minute turns first, because its line is tightest. Then the 30 minute. Then the 1 hour. Yesterday’s sells arrived exactly that way, after the fast charts had finished their bounce.
That is why the status line matters. Today Bitcoin reads Sell on H4 and Ethereum reads Sell on H1, H4. When a fast chart lines back up, the status says so and the alert fires on your phone. You do not have to sit and watch six charts waiting for it.
8. Lot Size: Small Stops, Split Risk
A ticket from the 15 minute comes with a far tighter stop than one from the 4 hour. Yesterday’s Bitcoin 15 minute ticket had 171.91 of risk. The Bitcoin 4 hour has 2862.56, more than sixteen times the distance.
One lot is usually one coin, so a 1 dollar move is worth about 1 dollar per lot. At 50 dollars of risk:
- A 171.91 Bitcoin stop is about 0.29 lots
- A 2862.56 Bitcoin stop is about 0.017 lots
And if you take both coins in the same direction, remember yesterday’s rule: it is one view of the market seen twice. Split your risk, 25 dollars on each. On Ethereum’s 4 hour stop of 149.49, 25 dollars is about 0.17 lots.
Every Direction Sniper ticket prints its stop before you enter, so this happens before the trade, not after it. Contract sizes vary between brokers, so check your own Specification window.
9. Where The Levels Sit Now
Bitcoin (price about 81,795)
- 4 hour: Target 1 at 78580.00, trailing level 82187.35
- Blue lines: 15 minute around 81,710, 30 minute around 81,400, 1 hour around 81,150
- Verdict SELL. Status: Sell on H4
Ethereum (price about 2,412)
- 4 hour: Target 1 at 2272.36, trailing level 2462.04
- Blue lines: 15 minute around 2,411, 30 minute around 2,398
- 1 hour: DOWN, lined up with the verdict
- Verdict SELL. Status: Sell on H1, H4

Read Both Coins On One Panel
The Direction Sniper BTC and ETH Edition puts this exact panel on your own Bitcoin and Ethereum charts.
- Direction. One verdict from the 4 hour and the daily, on both coins. Yesterday it held SELL through a rally to almost 82,900, and three Bitcoin targets were reached after.
- Bounces that have not broken structure. Two days running, the fast charts turned UP. Two days running, the panel told you it was a bounce.
- The stop loss. Both 4 hour tickets have shed most of their original risk, 74 and 73 percent, and the levels sit on the panel the whole time.
Built and tested on Tickmill. $47 on MT4, $67 on MT5, rising to $97 and $127 in March 2027.
