Gold and Silver Price Forecast Today, 15 October 2026: Five Targets Reached In One Day, And Both Metals Still Pointing Down

Gold and Silver Price Forecast Today, 15 October 2026: Five Targets Reached In One Day, And Both Metals Still Pointing Down

This gold and silver price forecast today covers one of the biggest days on the board in weeks. Across the two metals, five published targets were reached in a single session. Silver fell more than three dollars. And the silver 1 hour ticket that had reached zero targets yesterday morning went on to reach all three.

Both metals still read SELL on the H4 and the daily. Seven positions on the board are still running.

Here is the full board, with every number, and what it teaches.

The Board At A Glance

Five targets reached. Seven positions still running, counting each ticket as three positions under the three target split.

1. Silver: The Ticket That Looked Stuck, Then Finished

Silver H1 panel, All targets reached

Yesterday morning the silver 1 hour ticket had reached none of its targets. Entry was 59.683, the original stop was 60.775, so 1.092 of risk.

But something had already happened that most traders would miss. The trailing level had moved to 59.378, which is 0.305 in front of the entry price. The stop had crossed break even before a single target was reached.

Today the panel reads All targets reached:

  • Target 1 at 58.591, reached
  • Target 2 at 57.499, reached
  • Target 3 at 56.408, reached

Every one of them sits exactly 1.092 apart, one, two and three times the original risk. The ticket is now dimmed, the trailing level is frozen at 59.378, and the panel has moved on.

Yesterday we wrote that targets measure distance and the trail measures structure. Today is what that looks like when both finish the job. The structure protected the trade first. The distance came later.

That order matters. A trader holding this ticket yesterday was not hoping. The level was already in front of entry. If you want to know exactly when that crossing happens, our guide on when to move stop loss to break even walks through five real panels.

This is the part of Direction Sniper most traders never get from a chart on their own: a stop level that tells you, in plain words, where the trade stands.

2. Silver: The 4 Hour Picture

The silver 4 hour ticket printed at 13 October 20:00 with an entry of 59.161 and an original stop of 61.286. That is 2.125 of risk.

Target 1 at 57.036 has been reached. Price now sits at about 56.015, which is 3.146 below the entry, or 1.48 times the original risk. The next target is 54.910, about 1.105 away.

The label has changed from STOP LOSS to TRAILING STOP, and the level now sits at 61.078. It has tightened by 0.208 from where it started, and it is still above the entry, so this one is still in its first phase. The plan is running exactly as printed.

Silver M15 panel, fresh SELL ticket

On the 15 minute chart, a fresh SELL ticket printed this morning at 06:30:

  • Entry 55.961
  • Original stop 56.259, so 0.298 of risk
  • Targets 55.663, 55.365 and 55.067
  • Trailing level 56.253

Price is at about 56.025, which is 0.064 above entry, about 21 per cent of the risk distance. The status reads Sell on M15, H1, H4. Three entry charts lined up with the verdict.

When the 4 hour, the daily and a fresh entry chart all agree, that is the moment Direction Sniper exists for. You do not have to work it out from four charts. The panel says it in one line.

3. Gold: Target 1 Reached, Then A Rally The Panel Did Not Chase

Gold H4 panel, Target 1 HIT

Gold printed a 4 hour SELL ticket at 14 October 12:00:

  • Entry 4143.20
  • Stop loss 4193.79, so 50.59 of risk
  • Target 1 at 4092.61, reached
  • Target 2 at 4042.02
  • Target 3 at 3991.43

Within hours of the ticket, gold dropped into the low 4070s and reached Target 1. Then it rallied all the way back to the entry. Price now sits at about 4146.3, which is 3.1 above the entry, about 6 per cent of the risk distance.

Gold H1 panel, fast charts UP, verdict SELL

Here is the part worth slowing down for. On the rally, all three fast charts flipped. M15, M30 and H1 now read UP. A trader watching only the 15 minute chart would see a reversal.

The panel does not see a reversal. H4 and D1 still read DOWN, so the verdict stays SELL. The fast charts point up against the verdict, so there is no new ticket on them. The status still reads Sell on H4.

This is a rally inside a downtrend that has not broken structure. The 4 hour stop at 4193.79 is still about 47.5 above price. Until that level is reached, the bigger picture has not changed.

This is one of the three things Direction Sniper is built for: telling the difference between a bounce and a real change in direction, so you are not flipping your view every time a fast chart turns.

4. The Lesson: A Protected Plan Only Needs Patience

The silver 1 hour ticket teaches the lesson of the day.

Yesterday it had reached zero targets. Many traders would have closed it early, nervous that a ticket with nothing to show was going nowhere.

But the panel had already answered the only question that mattered. The trailing level sat in front of the entry. A trigger at that level would have closed in front of entry, not behind it. With the plan already protected, there was no reason to interfere.

Today all three targets were reached.

The hard part of trading is rarely finding the trade. It is leaving a good plan alone once it is protected. Direction Sniper shows you when that moment has arrived, on the panel, in words, so you do not have to guess.

5. Lot Size: The Same Day, Very Different Sizes

The stop distance decides the lot size. Never the other way around.

Gold is 100 ounces per standard lot, so a 1 dollar move is 100 dollars per lot.

  • Gold H4: 50.59 of risk, so 5,059 dollars per lot. At 50 dollars of risk, that is about 0.01 lot. At 100 dollars, about 0.02. At 250 dollars, about 0.05.

Silver is 5,000 ounces per standard lot, so a 1 dollar move is 5,000 dollars per lot.

  • Silver H4: 2.125 of risk, so 10,625 dollars per lot. At 50 dollars of risk, about 0.005 lot. A 0.01 lot here risks about 106 dollars.
  • Silver H1: 1.092 of risk, so 5,460 dollars per lot. At 50 dollars, about 0.009 lot.
  • Silver M15: 0.298 of risk, so 1,490 dollars per lot. At 50 dollars, about 0.03 lot.

The silver 15 minute ticket takes about seven times the size of the silver 4 hour ticket for the same dollar risk.

If the correct size falls below your broker’s minimum of 0.01, a cent account solves it. On a cent account, 0.005 standard lots becomes 0.5 cent lots, comfortably above the minimum.

Every Direction Sniper ticket prints the stop before you enter. That is what makes this calculation possible before the trade, not after it.

6. Where The Levels Sit Now

Silver (price about 56.015)

  • H4: next target 54.910, trailing level 61.078
  • M15: entry 55.961, trailing level 56.253, Target 1 at 55.663
  • H1: completed, all targets reached

Gold (price about 4146.3)

  • H4: next target 4042.02, stop loss 4193.79
  • Fast charts: UP against a SELL verdict, waiting for alignment

Both daily charts read DOWN. Both 4 hour charts read DOWN.

Why We Publish This

Every read on this site comes straight from the Direction Sniper panel. We publish the entry, the stop and the targets as the panel shows them, including the tickets that are still open and the ones that do not go to plan. You can check every number against the chart yourself. That is the point.

The Tool Behind Every Read

Today showed all three things Direction Sniper does:

  • Direction. Both metals read SELL on the 4 hour and the daily, and silver followed through more than three dollars.
  • Bounces that have not broken structure. Gold rallied back to entry and every fast chart turned up. The panel held SELL.
  • The stop loss. The silver 1 hour trailing level crossed in front of entry before a single target was reached.

One panel. Five timeframes. A clear verdict, a full trade ticket, and a stop level you can size from.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the gold and silver price forecast today, 15 October 2026?

Both metals read SELL on the Direction Sniper panel, because the 4 hour and the daily charts both point down.

Five published targets were reached in one session: one on the gold 4 hour ticket, one on the silver 4 hour ticket, and all three on the silver 1 hour ticket.

Seven positions are still running, and a fresh silver 15 minute SELL ticket printed this morning at 55.961.

Why did the silver 1 hour ticket reach all three targets today after reaching none yesterday?

The ticket entered at 59.683 with 1.092 of risk, so its targets sat at 58.591, 57.499 and 56.408.

Yesterday price had not travelled far enough to reach the first one, but the trailing level had already moved to 59.378, which is 0.305 in front of the entry.

When silver fell more than three dollars, price passed all three targets and the panel now reads All targets reached.

Why does Direction Sniper still read SELL on gold when the fast charts turned up?

The verdict comes from the 4 hour and the daily charts, and both still read DOWN.

The M15, M30 and H1 charts flipped UP on the rally back to the 4143.20 entry, but they point against the verdict, so the panel shows no new ticket on them.

The 4 hour stop loss at 4193.79 is still about 47.5 above price, so the rally has not broken structure.

What does it mean when the trailing stop crosses in front of the entry before any target is reached?

It means the stop level has moved past break even on structure alone.

A trigger at that level would close in front of the entry rather than behind it.

Targets measure distance from the entry and the trailing level measures the structure behind the trade, so either one can finish first.

Direction Sniper shows the level on the panel, and the trader adjusts the order on the platform.

How do I work out my lot size on today’s silver tickets?

One standard lot of silver is 5,000 ounces, so a 1 dollar move is worth 5,000 dollars per lot.

Divide the money you are willing to risk by the stop distance times 5,000.

At 50 dollars of risk, the silver 4 hour ticket with 2.125 of risk works out to about 0.005 lot, and the silver 15 minute ticket with 0.298 of risk works out to about 0.03 lot.

If the correct size is below your broker’s 0.01 minimum, a cent account lets you trade it.

Does a reached target mean a trader made money?

No. Price reaching a published target level is not the same as a realised result.

Fills, spreads, lot size and when each trader closed the position all change the outcome.
