Gold and Silver Price Forecast Today, 21 September 2026: Both Metals Read No Trade

The gold and silver price forecast today is the same on both metals: NO TRADE. The 4 hour has turned up while the daily is still down, so the panel refuses to name a direction. Readings as of 21 September 2026.

How to Read the Chart

The panel on the left gives the verdict. The H4 and daily set the direction, and the entry timeframes (M15, M30 and H1) are where the timing signals appear. On the chart itself, a red arrow marks where that timeframe turned down, and the red dashed line then follows price from above. A blue arrow marks a turn up, with the blue line following from below.

Gold Price Forecast Today (XAUUSD)

Direction Sniper reads NO TRADE on gold. Status: stand aside.

The H4 reads UP and the daily reads DOWN. The two direction timeframes disagree, so the panel will not name a direction at all. On the entry timeframes, only M15 reads UP. M30 and H1 both read DOWN.

Price is at 4,353.69.

Five of Six Timeframes Are Not Agreeing on Anything

This is a genuinely mixed panel. One fast chart up, two fast charts down, the 4 hour up and the daily down. There is no majority, and more importantly there is no structure to the disagreement.

A real change in direction has a shape. It builds from the fast charts upward, and the daily turns last. What is on the panel today is not that shape. It is noise on the short timeframes while the daily sits still.

The daily has read DOWN since the red arrow in mid September near 4,600. Nothing that has happened on M15 since then has changed that, and nothing on M15 is capable of changing it.

Where Price Is Sitting

Gold is at 4,353.69, holding between the red trailing line above near 4,430 and the recent lows near 4,250.

The trailing line is the level that matters. It has been falling since the mid September red arrow, and it sits directly above price. Until gold closes above it, the daily has no reason to turn.

The Daily Chart Puts It in Perspective

Gold’s year on the daily has run in long, clean stretches.

A blue arrow printed in mid March near 4,300. A red arrow followed in early April near 4,850, and that one ran for three months, taking price from roughly 4,850 down to around 4,000 by late July. A blue arrow printed in late July near 3,997 and ran to roughly 4,680 by late August. The most recent red arrow printed in mid September near 4,600.

Four daily signals in seven months. Each one lasted weeks. That is the timeframe the panel trusts to set direction, and it has not moved since mid September.

What Changes the Picture

Gold has no direction until the H4 and daily agree again. If the daily turns up, gold flips to a BUY, and the entry timeframes then decide the timing. If the H4 turns back down, both direction timeframes point down and the panel returns a SELL verdict. A daily close above the trailing line near 4,430 is the first thing that would put the daily in question. A break below the recent lows near 4,250 would confirm the daily is still in control.

About the panel: These readings come from the Direction Sniper panel, which shows the direction on the 4 hour and daily charts and the entry timeframes for Gold and Silver on MetaTrader 4 and MT5.

Silver Price Forecast Today (XAGUSD)

Silver reads identically to gold, field for field. NO TRADE, status stand aside.

The H4 reads UP, the daily reads DOWN, M15 reads UP, and M30 and H1 read DOWN. Every field matches gold’s panel exactly.

Price is at 66.218.

Silver’s daily chart has been the more violent of the two. The May spike took price to roughly 90 before a red arrow printed near 78 at the start of June. From there silver fell to around 54 by mid July, a drop of about 40% from the high. A blue arrow printed in late July near 56, and the rally that followed reached roughly 70 in late August. The most recent red arrow printed around 9 September near 68.

Silver is now at 66.218, sitting a little under that arrow, with the red trailing line just above near 69.

Both metals are showing the same reading and the same conflict. On both, the daily has to move before anything counts.

What Changes the Picture

Gold and silver are reading identically today. Neither has a direction until its H4 and daily agree again.

If the daily turns up on either metal, it flips to a BUY. If the H4 turns back down, the SELL verdict returns. On silver, a close above the trailing line near 69 would be the first sign the daily is under pressure, and a break below the recent lows near 63.5 would confirm the daily is still running the market.

The Lesson: The Daily Does Not Owe You a Turn

Look at what M15 is doing on both metals today. It has turned up. That is one fifteen minute chart, and on a market that has been falling on the daily since mid September, it means almost nothing.

This is where most traders lose money in a market like this one. They watch the fastest chart, because the fastest chart always has something happening on it. Something happening feels like information. It is not. On a 15 minute chart, price turns up and down several times a session regardless of what the market is actually doing.

The daily has read DOWN on both metals for around two weeks. In that time, M15 will have turned up and down dozens of times. If you traded each of those turns you would have been busy, and you would have nothing to show for it.

Here is the part that takes years to learn. The bigger timeframe does not turn because you want it to, and it does not turn early to reward you for spotting it first. It turns when it turns, and everything below it that moves in the meantime is noise dressed up as opportunity.

This is why Direction Sniper reads H4 and daily first, and why it will not produce a ticket while those two disagree. It is not being slow. It is refusing to let a 15 minute chart overrule a daily chart, which is a decision most traders cannot make for themselves in the moment.

Both metals are saying the same thing today. Wait.
